High Tea:The Prince of Wales Hotel
As part of my recent trip to Niagara’s Ice Wine Festival, my good friend and I decided to explore the lovely town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Aside from having multiple wineries that participate in the festival the town is full of quaint mom and pop shops, friendly faces, and large water-front homes. One of its most iconic landmarks is The Prince of Wales Hotel. Frequented by the British royal family it’s said to be where the royals stay during their visits and the Queen enjoys the Drawing Room’s High Tea service.
Not only is the hotel oozing with old world beauty, but right in front of the hotel sits a horse-drawn carriage, that offers tours. Visitors should take advantage of such a movie like option.
High Tea is an unforgettable experience. The Drawing Room offers fine teas paired with fine hand crafted gourmet cuisine. What is also unique is that there are 4-5 different options one can select. Most venues that serve High Tea offer a standard and upgraded option. Overall the experience was beautiful. The teas, the food, the stillness and the ambience of the tea room made me feel as if I was in another world.
Goodie: For the month of March the Drawing Room is offering a two for one experience. I encourage teal lovers and anyone who loves beautiful experiences to take advantage of this opportunity. Check it out here.
